Oh I just can't wait to be King!

You could probably tell by the title of this entry what the contents will be about. LIONS! But not just any lions....LION CUBS!Yep, you heard it here! Utah's Hogle Zoo has 3 new lion cubs. 2 boys & 1 little girl.

Back in the fall (maybe winter) we introduced our 2 brothers, Baron and Vulcan to a pair of sisters, Nobu and Sela in hopes of having cubs.

Well, Baron and Nobu succeeded! Nobu gave birth to the 3 cubs on February 24th 2016. It seemed to come kind of fast but doing a little research, I found out that a lions gestation period is typically 110 days. So basically a little over 3 months!

Could you imagine if humans only had 3 months instead of 9?!

Another cool thing about this, is that Hogle Zoo has not had lion cubs in 27 years!!! The last cub was Lily, who was born in 1989. Before that, the last cubs were born in 1978. Crazy!
That means this year will be a busy year because who wouldn't want to come see lion cubs!
The zoo will allow the public to name the cubs in the next couple of weeks. This will probably happen by posting the names selections on Facebook. Look out for these 3 bundles of fur to be out and about Mid-Late April!

But for now, you can check out the videos of mom and babies in their den bonding at Utah's Hogle Zoo's YouTube page, just CLICK HERE!!!!!
