Where in the world is Bomb?

  Hey all! I obviously am only writing these every few months or longer. So, let me give you a heads up on whats been going on in the world of Bomb. The last time I wrote was around September when I got the job at Halloween City and we were doing our paint nights.

Since then, I have gotten a second job at Spoons N' Spice, which is a family owned kitchen store. This store was opened 40 years ago in 1973 by the owner Joe Granato. The first store was located in Sugar House, in a duplex Joe and his wife owned. They lived on one side of it and the store was set up in the other half of the duplex. The store grew to such popularity that they moved locations to the Ivy Place shopping center located on 900 East, as well as opening a second store in Sandy Village years later.

    In 2013, they decided they needed a bigger location. Though they had been in the Ivy Place location for years and they had decent business, the store and location just weren't cutting it. The shopping center was run down and the store was very tiny. Aisles didn't even really exist. Joe decided to move the store back to the heart of Sugar House. He had the new store designed by his two sons, Nick & Tony, whom work along side him. This store is much bigger than the Ivy Place location and in an area with more foot traffic, which increases business.

My favorite thing about working at this store definitely has to be the fact that we sell locally roasted coffee made by Meridian.I go home at the end of the day and my hands just smell like coffee. We also provide coffee samples when you walk in. You could imagine how a coffee lover like me can take full advantage of that while working! One cool thing I learned was that my local coffee shop I go to everyday also uses Meridian coffee. They also sell loose tea in bulk. I had never tried loose tea before, so I bought some Orange Cinnamon tea and a tea ball infuser and now I am hooked!

This store has so many cool kitchen gadgets, it can be dangerous going to work everyday. I created a wish list and am making the list smaller every day by buying something!  So if you love kitchen stuff, you need to make time in your schedule to come visit!

My boyfriend and I also had our birthdays in November. The cool thing is that our birthdays are only a few days apart. His is November 3rd & mine is November 7th. For his birthday, I have a tradition of going to Sweet Tooth Fairy and getting him a cupcake and cookie 

 instead of doing a cake. And I think he has picked up the tradition for me as well. Haha

   

 We decided to go to Market Street Grill for dinner to celebrate as one. He had never been and I had only ever been for brunch so we both were excited to go try it out. We tried oysters for the first time. We were both nervous but to our surprise, they were pretty good! I do have to admit, the appetizers and dessert were 10 times better than our actual meals. He even said that he preferred my homemade salmon over the salmon we ordered. If that's not a compliment, I don't know what is!

He also is the best boyfriend ever, because he got me tickets to one the concerts I was dying to go to, New Found Glory & Yellowcard! It was an amazing show! It was really cool with Yellowcard because, to our surprise, they had the original violinist on stage!

The next show I really want to see is The Used in April. This one should be a good one because it will be their 15 Year Anniversary tour, in which they will be performing 2 nights in a row. Night one will be their Self Titled album in entirety, night 2 will be the In Love & Death album. The Used is one of my favorite bands, so paying for 2 nights, for 2 great albums will so be worth it! So if we end up going to that, I will keep you updated!!!
